58mm f/0.86 - 1/400th, iso100 ● 81x47mm ● 106mp ● A7+N135/2 x14 ● Richmond Park

A walk in Richmond park, while borrowing the Nikkor 135mm f/2 DC lens paid off when I found these deer right next to the car park. This was about as close as I was willing to get to those antlers. The deer in the foreground was just about filling the frame of a single shot from the 135mm lens. I wanted to get the tree on the right in frame too, so decided to attempt a Pano. Of course they moved a bit during the shots, so I had to do some retouching, but it came out surprisingly clean considering.

A B&W 093 (830nm) infrared filter was used to take these shots, which helps give it a more ethereal feel, on top of the shallow depth of field. Fortunately the camera has been converted to full spectrum so it didn't affect the shutter speed much (this filter takes about 1.5 stops off compared to colour)

I was trying out an old lens for Bokeh Panos here. This one has been in my family almost as long as I have! The Takumar (PK fit) 135mm f/2.5 is a surprisingly small lens for it's speed and offers good depth while being a relatively neat kit to carry around. Another nice benefit of this lens is that it takes the very common 52mm filter size. I have a ton of different wavelength filters that I've picked up cheaply on ebay auctions. If you want to buy a Bokeh Panos then this one make a great option on a budget, costing around £60 / $80 (second hand of course). This lens works on Pentax DSLRs and can be adapted to Canon DSLRs as well as pretty much any mirrorless ILCs.

45mm f/0.56 - 1/320th, iso100 ● 140x100mm ● 180mp ● A7+P200/2.5 x40 ● Pontton Dock, DLR

This was one of the only Bokeh Panos that I took on the Pentax SMC 200mm f/2.5 lens. I sold it on fairly quickly becasue the image quality wasn't that great and it was a heavy lens to use on the Sony A7, as well as being too long of a focal length for the technique.

35mm f/0.52 - 1/320th, iso100 ● 140x81mm ● 315mp ● A7+C135/2 x68 ● Hampstead Heath, London

I found three guys cutting (well.. trimming) some trees on Hampstead Heath with a cool Landrover Defender and had to get a Bokeh Pano of the scene.

34mm f/0.46 - 1/400th, iso100 ● 85x60mm ● 101mp ● A7_C85/1.2 x33 ● West Heath, London

I like the 850nm IR wavelength because it gives much sharper results from most lenses. This is due to colour and IR wavelengths focusing at different distances and due to focus breathing you get out of focus areas in the corners.
