LENS REVIEWS

Technical info in the gallery isn't labelled so as to save space. Here's a breakdown to help explain what each part means.

These reviews show how I feel each lens performs when shooting a bokeh panoramas, relative to it's value. How a lens performs for this technique is not the same as how it performs for a single image. Certain aberrations could be very annoying for normal photography, but almost inconsequential for bokeh panoramas and vise versa. The main scores you see are for its panorama performance, but there is also a number in brackets after and this is how I would score it for 'normal" photography.

  • 24mm f/0.33 = Equivalent lens

  • 1/320th = Actual shutter speed used

  • iso100 = Actual sensitivity 

  • 106x86mm = Effective sensor size of panorama

  • 253mp = Number of pixels (millions) in panorama

  • A7 = Camera used (Sony A7)

  • C85/1.2 = Lens used (Canon FD 85mm f/1.2 L)

  • x32 = Number of images stitched for panorama

  • Betws-Y-Coed, Wales = Location of image
