This lens is a real gem and really deserves the red ring given its optical quality. It does have quite a bit of CA and spherochromatism, but it's sharp and the bokeh quality is really, really good. The focus action is beautiful and the built in hood is really useful. The focal length is a bit long so I would only really recommend it for Sony A7 users.

You can sometimes pick one up for a reasonable price on ebay, but prices seems to be rising. Considering the optical quality and very reasonable price of the Samyang/Rokinon 135/2 it's getting harder to recommend this classic all the time.

If you want auto focus then I think the Canon EF version is perhaps even more compelling. Sigma's new f/1.8 135 ART looks like it could be really amazing! It's quite a bit faster too with an epic 75mm aperture size, but it's in an entirely different league price wise as well.
